Global superstar Jennifer Lopez and her on-screen love interest from 'Maid in Manhattan,' British actor Ralph Fiennes, shared an emotional reunion at the Palm Springs International Film Festival this weekend. Their bond remains strong, and it showed.

During the event, held at the Parker Palm Springs complex in California, United States, the stars not only posed for photos together but also shared the stage when Fiennes presented Lopez with the Legend & Groundbreaker Award for her movie 'Unstoppable.'

While presenting the award, the actor took the opportunity to reminisce about the iconic romantic comedy they filmed together.

"Once upon a time, in another life and perhaps in a different era of cinematic storytelling, there was a Republican Senate candidate wandering around a Manhattan hotel, and in that same other life, there was a maid at that hotel," Fiennes said during his speech in honor of Lopez.

He also mentioned that the man was struck by the beauty of that woman, although he couldn't fully appreciate it because she was wearing a mask.

"Behind the mask of that cleaning lady, there was, in fact, a force of creativity, a force of action, something so powerful that it simply couldn't be stopped. An unstoppable force was rising from this humble and modest hotel maid," he added.

In response, the Puerto Rican star jokingly remarked about not continuing to meet up in hotels, clearly referencing the setting of their 2002 film.

"We really need to stop meeting up in hotels like this," she said with a big smile.

Posing Together

As soon as fans learned they attended the same event, excitement spread quickly. After all, 'Maid in Manhattan' is one of Lopez's most successful romantic comedies. Plus, they looked stunning.

The actress and businesswoman rocked a figure-hugging purple dress paired with a sheer overcoat, while he opted for pinstriped trousers, a dark blue shirt, and a charcoal gray leather jacket.

They'd look amazing in a sequel!

"Maybe I'm crazy, but I'd love for them to be together," "Forever loved," "My favorites," "Both are gorgeous," "I didn't know I needed to see them together until now," and "They should make another project together," commented some users about their reunion.

A Close Connection

In an interview on 'Watch What Happens Live' in November 2024, Fiennes revealed that, besides being her co-star, he was also a big supporter of JLo's early romance with Ben Affleck. The actor even admitted to covering for them at times.

"Were you a decoy for their relationship?" asked host Andy Cohen, to which he replied, "It was me."

Although the real-life couple is now divorcing, Jennifer and Fiennes' friendship remains unshaken... Seriously, who says they shouldn't make a 'Maid in Manhattan' sequel?
