Who can forget the years “Bennifer” existed? It’s almost unbelievable that the relationship between Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck has been over for 10 years. They’ve both gone their own way and succeeded in their fields, and so far they haven’t really gone on record talking about that relationship. Recently, JLo showed up at Andy Cohen’s “Watch What Happens Live” and the host brought the subject back to life saying he rooted for them and later asking, “Was the transformation of Ben Affleck your doing? Did you dress him when you were dating him?”
Jennifer replied, “I did kind of like, say, ‘You're a movie star! You should wear a suit! You should do this with your hair!’ For sure. I mean, I do that,” the 44-year-old singer admitted. “By the way, guys do that to girls, too: ‘I like that dress better than the other dress.’” According to Lopez, Affleck “was into it. He didn't do anything he didn't want to do...He had some good fashion moments when he was with me!” This is as far as it goes when it comes to talking about Bennifer. Until now.
We all know about Ben’s love for poker, and apparently, he used to go to some high-stakes poker games with other celebrities like Tobey Maguire and Leonardo DiCaprio. Turns out, those games were organized by Molly Bloom, who became well known for hosting those poker games at luxurious locations like The Four Seasons, The Peninsula, and the Beverly Hills Hotel, and she scheduled all the accommodations, amenities and food. Bloom is recently spilling all her secrets on some of Hollywood’s biggest names, and we couldn’t get past the comments Ben Affleck made about Jennifer Lopez’s greatest assets.
In an excerpt of her book, titled “Molly’s Game,” and published on Vanity Fair, Bloom wrote about landing Ben Affleck to go to one of her games. “Ben showing up for my poker game was undeniably monumental, but the butterflies I was feeling now were excitement that he was playing at my table, that he was a part of my game.” Moments after Ben arrived, another guest, Rick Salomon, made it to the game too. “Rick, the videographer, director, and co-star of an infamous sex tape, was crass and dirty, but he was still hot in a caveman kind of way,” she wrote.
“As Rick took a seat, I saw him focus on Ben. I saw the wheels turning. ‘Oh God,’ I thought, don’t let Rick say anything embarrassing. He had no filter.” As Molly had expected, Rick had to say something. “Hey, yo, did Jennifer’s a** have cellulite on it, or was it nice?” he said. According to Bloom, the table went silent, but Ben looked at Rick and replied, “It was nice.” This all happened right after the highly publicized breakup of two of the biggest Hollywood celebs, the ones who started the trend of combining names but failed to make a decent movie together.
“The table laughed and the ice was broken. These may have been larger-than-life characters playing with larger-than-life numbers, but at the end of the day, guys are guys—and strangers quickly became familiar friends at a poker table,” Bloom added.
