Jennifer Aniston admitted that it wasn’t easy for her to see Justin Theroux hanging out with various models and actresses shortly after their split. In a recent interview, the “Friends” actress revealed that she even sought the help of a psychologist to help her work through their divorce.
Despite being single, Aniston seems to be very much content with her life. She appears on shampoo commercials and is busy promoting her upcoming Apple+ streaming show. Recently, she also had the chance to reunite with her “Friends” costars and post a photo of their get-together on social media.
With so many things on her plate, dating isn’t among Aniston’s top priorities now. In a recent interview, she revealed that she’s been very busy with work and dating is just not a priority for her.
On the “Howard Stern Show,” Aniston said that she enjoys being single and is not interested in being set up with anyone right now. “Not right now, but listen, I just don’t like being set up,” she said. “I don’t like it. I hate it,” she added.
Aniston went on to share how difficult it was for her to move on from her split from Theroux. She revealed how she needed to get lots of therapy to get over the heartbreak, attending frequent therapy sessions so she could “take care of herself.” Aniston revealed that reports about Theroux hanging out with increasingly young models and actresses soon after their divorce affected her so much that she had to consult an expert to work through their breakup.
Aniston and Theroux had been together for four years before they called it quits in February 2018. In an interview months after their divorce, Aniston also talked about what helped her get through their split. According to her, it took her a change of perspective and a lot of therapy to absolutely get over their divorce.
The actress revealed at that time that all the negativity and judgment that come along with fame make her hate being famous, but she has her way of brushing off all the negativity. “For the most part I can sit back and laugh at the ridiculous headlines because they have gotten more and more absurd,” she said.
“I guess they’re feeding into some sort of need the public has, but I focus on my work, my friends, my animals, and how we can make the world a better place. The other stuff is junk food that needs to go back in its drawer,” she added.
