A year after the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced that Jenni Rivera would get her own star at the Hollywood Walk of Fame, the organizers revealed that a date and a place has been chosen with Mexican pop star Gloria Trevi scheduled to deliver a speech in her honor.

Accepting the star on Rivera's behalf will be her five children: Jacqie, Johnny, Chiquis, Jenicka, and Michael.

However, the event will not only celebrate Rivera's musical achievements.

Jenni's Star, which will be the 2,783rd on the famous walk, is in the recording category and will be prominently placed in front of Capitol Records on Vine Street. The ceremony of unveiling is set for June 27.
