Jenni Rivera was one of the most beloved singers of her time. Sadly her tragic death ended her life and millions of fans still mourn her loss today. Rivera's family is keeping her alive by remembering "La Diva de la Banda" with an annual concert that they want to do through 2022, when it would be 10 years after her death. The organization for the 2014 event later this year has already commenced and they are planning to do it in Los Angeles. "Jenni Vive" was a complete success when they did it last December at the Arena Monterrey, the venue where Jenni last performed before her untimely death. The event will help raise funds for organizations that support women that suffer from domestic violence. It was a cause that Jenni stood by and this is how the family want to keep her legacy alive.
Chiquis Rivera caused controversy in a good and bad way when she performed at Premios Juventud 2014 last month. "Maintain yourselves firm and with no fear. He [God] has everything under control and will be the wind under your wings, when the tree you thought would always be there supporting you is not."
Chiquis lated shared a photo of a quote that read: "Whoever hurts you, makes you stronger. Whoever criticizes you makes you important. Whoever envies you, makes you valuable. And it's fun that those who wish you the worst, have to put up when the best happens to you." Over on Facebook she shared a photo of a bird with the following quote: "A bird sitting on a tree is never afraid that the branch breaks because his confidence is not in the branch, it's in his wings." Her uncle, Lupillo Rivera, was asked by reporters to comment on her performance and he said: "I really don't like to comment about these things, I see things, small details that magnify on stage and when you comment on them, instead of looking good and giving advice, I always end up looking bad."
