It has been four months since Jenni Rivera's terrifying death in a plane crash, and her many followers do not forget her. Fans will have a glimpse of the star's last days on Sunday, when the final season of her reality show "I Love Jenni" will air.
After a few months of uncertainty, Rivera's family has decided to go on with the show. Season three promo begins with the message "We dedicate this to the memory of Jenni Rivera ... Mother, sister, hija, grandmother, amiga, artista, icon. Your legacy of love lives on."
"We decided to continue season 3 of the 'I Love Jenni' series with the scenes she had finished," sister Rosie Rivera told Efe. "She had completed almost half the series and we decided not to shelve these treasures that were meant to be enjoyed by the whole family and all her fans."
The show will feature moments of her life in the month before her death, and several scenes show her with her daughter Jacquie and her mother.
Jenni Rivera died on Dec. 9, 2012 when her plane crashed in a rural area of northern Mexico. She was 43 years old. She had launched "I Love Jenni" in 2011. She had five children, of whom Rosie is taking care.
"The series wasn't finished and there was no discussion about whether we would air the remaining material or not - we took a decision based on what we knew about Jenni," said Rosie.
"I Love Jenni" will air on Sunday April 14 at 9 p.m., PET, on mun2.
