Two of the most recognizable players in the game of soccer will appear on the cover of EA's highly-anticipated FIFA 14 video game.

Barcelona's Lionel Messi and Manchester United's Javier 'Chicharito' Hernandez will grace the cover of video games distributed across the United States and Mexico. Hernandez recently came to a multi-year agreement with Electronic Arts and in addition to appearing as the face of the game, the 25-year-old will also become a key figure in marketing campaigns for the video game.

"We have long admired the flair and passion Chicharito brings to the sport," EA executive producer for FIFA 14 David Ruffer told International Digital Times. "With Hernandez on our team, we have Mexico's best and most exciting player to help EA Sports make a deeper connection with our fans."

While Chicharito is well-deserving of the cover shot, Barcelona and Argentine national star Lionel Messi is making his second-consecutive appearance on the top-selling video game cover. A four-time Ballon d'Or award winner for best player in the world, the 26-year-old continues to help market the game of soccer while catapulting the FIFA video game into one of the most sought after games each and every year.
