“Top Gear” has been off the air for more than a month following the suspension, and eventual termination, of the car show’s lead presenter Jeremy Clarkson. Las week, we reported that “Top Gear” producer Andy Wilman is determined to salvage the remaining footage in order to deliver the final three episodes of “Top Gear” Season 22 to the fans.
"For those of you who still rely on it for work, don't worry, because the BBC will make sure the show continues," Top Gear producer Andy Wilman wrote. "Our stint as guardians of 'Top Gear' was a good one, but we were only part of the show's history, not the whole of it. Those two words are bigger than us."
However, we mentioned on Monday that it looks like “Top Gear” may never return after all. Despite the remaining footage, remaining presenters James May and Richard Hammond are reluctant to return to the studio without their friend and colleague.
“I think we’re very much the three of us as a package, it works for very complicated reasons that a lot of people don’t fully understand,” said James May in an interview last month.
As far as James May is concerned, “Top Gear” is over and he is out of a job. In fact, James May is now coping with unemployment by creating a brand-new channel on YouTube, fittingly titled, “JM’s unemployment tube.”
In one of his recent videos, Richard May talks in front of the camera as he shows his viewers how he makes his shepherd’s pie. Unfortunately, there’s no car review up yet. Be sure to check out the video of James May and his shepherd’s pie below!
