Is it just us or is J Balvin's crossover game on point? One YouTube user is even comparing Balvin to Pitbull, stating he is the new King of Collaborations. Perhaps he is not at Mr. 305's collab level quite yet, but with songs with artists such as Farruko, Major Lazor, Becky G, De La Ghetto and Justin Bieber, he is getting there! New on Balvin's list is a record with TV actress sensation, Sofia Carson.
Carson, a 23-year-old Florida-based star of Colombian descent, released her new single and music video "Love is the Name" featuring the urban artist. The vibrant music video shows Carson dancing away in different locations, such as the beach and a mansion. Balvin later joins the singer mid-video adding his very own Latino flavor.
Carson embarked her career in 2014 in Disney Channel's "Austin & Ally." She is best known for her role as Evie in the Disney Channel Original Movie, "Descendants." "Love is the Name" is the second track she drops in her music career, following the 2015 "Rotten to the Core" part of the Disney flick.
On another hand, Balvin, who is making the rounds with his own record "Bobo," recently teased fans with a possible collaboration with David Guetta. Yes, first the Bieb, then Pharrell Williams, and now, the renowned French DJ.
Earlier this month, Balvin documented his recording studio activities, where he revealed that he was cooking something fresh with the DJ. "Dreams that we keep achieving!! Thank you God. Grateful," he expressed on social media along with a photo of him and Guetta. Guetta also shared the same picture with the following caption: "Don't tell anyone @jbalvin is in the studio!"
In the midst of hard work in the recording studio, Balvin taught Guetta how to speak Colombian. A snapchat video showed the renowned DJ and his best attempt at saying "Hola parceros." As the fun-filled day wrapped up, the "Ginza" singer could not help but flaunt once again his excitement. "There are no limits in this life. We're going after the impossible," he stated.
