According to a press release from the show, in this episode, when a severe flu outbreak sweeps through Philadelphia, "the gang voluntarily quarantine themselves inside of Paddy's in an attempt to keep their singing voices pristine for an upcoming competition, although they have trouble adhering to the strict rules they've set for themselves." Last week's episode, "The Gang Saves the Day", was a bit of a weird one, with the whole of the episode consisting of the daydreams of all five of the main characters as they huddle together during a corner store robbery. Dennis's might win the crown for weirdest -- after getting shot in the head and nursed back to health by weathergirl Jackie Denardo, whose breasts he appears to be obsessed with, he ends up smothering her to death with a pillow.
Think you're a big "It's Always Sunny" fan? Maybe you are, maybe you're not, but you've got some stiff competition. Kaitlin Olson told Metro Entertainment recently that fans' expressions of appreciation can sometimes go way, way over the top. "The weirdest thing is people getting our [five] faces tattooed on their bodies," she said. "And it's not just one or two, it's happened, like, a big handful of times. And I am shocked every single time. People will tweet us pictures." She went on to tell viewers to please, please never do anything like that, because, "The show is going to end one day. And that body will -- hopefully -- be around for a very long time."
Glenn Howerton was saying recently that this season will feature inoffensive, profound and thoughtful treatments of topics including Thanksgiving, "Lethal Weapon 6," and a flu epidemic, among others. There's also one which will probably go down best with fans of the Gang's rat-killing, waitress-loving, paint-huffing goofball, Charlie. That one's called "Flowers for Charlie", and it was written by "Game of Thrones" co-creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss. "It's kind of like 'Limitless,' where I'm taking a pill to be more smarter," Charlie Day says of it. But as for tonight, you can catch "The Gang Gets Quarantined" HERE as it streams live at 10 p.m. on FXX.
