Apple has announced its special event that will take in September. As predicted Apple will hold the media event Wednesday, Sept. 9 at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco, Calif. The company has already sent out media invites with Yahoo's Alyssa Bereznak sharing the first look at the invite and artwork.
Along with the invite Apple is teasing the event using Siri, which gives some witty responses when using the invite tagline: "Hey Siri, give us a hint."
This year the company is expected to roll out a brand new iPhone dubbed the "iPhone 7 or iPhone 6s." According to rumors the new device will feature Force Touch, an A9 processor, 2GB RAM, an improved camera and a reinforced body made from stronger 7000 series aluminum. The device is also said to sport a new pink colorway. Recently pics have shown up on Chinese blogs showing off the pink colored iPhone. Its vivid scheme was enough to earn some detractors but it does give us an idea of what a pink iOS device would look like.
Other rumors suggest Apple will announce the next-generation Apple TV along with a new iPad Mini and larger screen iPad dubbed "iPad Pro." We do know the company will announce a release date for iOS 9, WatchOS 2 and OS X El Capitan.
If you didn't get an invite to the special event the company is giving you a way to watch. Apple will be live streaming the media event on the web for Mac, iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and PC users. Requires an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with Safari on iOS 7.0 or later, a Mac with Safari 6.0.5 or later on OS X v10.8.5 or later, or a PC with Edge on Windows 10. Streaming via Apple TV requires a second- or third-generation Apple TV with software 6.2 or later.
