After the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus launched last September fans found that there was a major hardware flaw within in the larger version of the iOS device. Known as "Bendgate," users were finding that when their device was place in a pocket it would bend because of weak points within the shell of the smartphone.
Although Apple assured users that the bend was "extremely rare," it appears the company is taking some extra steps in order to prevent another "Bendgate" calamity by tweaking the design of its coming iPhone 6s. According to MacRumors, Apple has streghtened the weak points on the smartphone's rear shell and a new video shows just how tough the device is.
YouTuber Unbox Therapy shows off the rear shell of the iPhone 6s and compares it to the current generation iPhone. Notably the Home and volume buttons on the new device appear to be thicker, suggesting Apple's next smartphone could be less susceptible to bending under normal usage. Check it out in the video below:
Meanwhile, iOS and Mac reseller, MacManiack, has shared a new video that compares a purported "iPhone 6s" display with an existing iPhone 6 display. The side-by-side comparison reveals that both displays are pretty identical with the same placement of the front facing camera, sensors and more.
