A new video posted by AppAdvice gives a detailed look at Apple's next-generation iPhone's compared to the current model. The video compares the backplates of both the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C to the existing iPhone 5. The video also gives the clearest look at the design of Apple's newest devices. The video even features Apple's highly rumored gold or "champagne" iPhone 5S model. Unfortunately the phones only display the rear shell of each phone, except the iPhone 5, so we don't know if there is a fingerprint sensor on the 5S model yet.
The iPhone 5C and 5S rear shells in the video appear to be similar in size to the existing iPhone 5. While the lower-cost or "plastic" iPhone is slightly thicker due to its polycarbonate shell, the iPhone 5S is nearly identical to the iPhone 5 with the exception of the dual-LED rear flash, which lines up with previous reports. The iPhone 5S is rumored to be Apple's new flagship device, is also expected to feature a redesigned home button to incorporate the new fingerprint sensor.
Though the iPhone 5S will feature improvements to the processor along with camera and other enhancement upgrades, the iPhone 5C is likely to have the existing iPhone 5 parts as it is rumored to be replacing the iPhone 5 in Apple's smartphone lineup.
The iPhone 5C is shown in blue, but is rumored to come in multiple colors including: blue, green, red, yellow and white. All 5Cs will feature standard black faceplates with a matching black Apple logo on the back of the device.
Noted by AppAdvice the iPhone 5S features a shiny metallic logo on the back of the device along with thinner 'IPhone" text, which appears to be inline with both the lettering on the iPhone 5C and Apple's overall adoption of skinnier fonts.
Both the iPhone 5S and 5C models are expected to be announced by Apple at their September 10 media event.
