Music has always been an integral part of the Fernández family's life. Now, with the debut of Ramón Fernández, grandson of the legendary "Charro de Huentitán," Vicente Fernández, this tradition continues. But with a fresh and unexpected venture into Latin country pop.
Ramón, the son of Vicente Fernández Jr., is ready to release his first EP, marking a new chapter in the musical legacy of this renowned dynasty.
The Growing Fernández Dynasty
The Fernández family has dominated Mexican music for decades. From Vicente Fernández, known as the "Charro de Huentitán," to his son Alejandro Fernández, famously dubbed "El Potrillo," music has been a constant presence.
Now, with Ramón and other grandchildren like Alejandro Fernández Jr., known as Alex, who also launched a musical career, the dynasty continues to grow and evolve.
The 'Para Ti' EP
The young artist shared details about his project on social media. 'Para Ti' is an EP featuring six tracks, five of which are brand-new compositions created in collaboration with his friends.
"My first EP, 'Para Ti,' is a project of six songs in the country pop genre. Music has always been part of my life, and this EP is the result of a lot of love and enthusiasm. Five of the songs are entirely original, composed with my buddy @gohn_ofi and produced in collaboration with my brothers @undr.mx and @diego_carrillo_00," he expressed.
The EP cover features a childhood photo of Ramón, symbolizing a personal and emotional journey conveyed through his music.
Who is Ramón Fernández?
Ramón Fernández is the grandson of Vicente Fernández and the son of Vicente Fernández Jr., placing him squarely within a lineage of exceptionally talented musicians.
While his family is celebrated for mastering mariachi and regional Mexican music, Ramón is exploring a different sound, delving into the country-pop genre. His choice reflects a desire to leave his mark on the music world while honoring his family's legacy.
From entrepreneur to musician
Before dedicating himself entirely to music, Ramón was a young entrepreneur passionate about art and coffee.
He owns a café called Café Brosco, where he offers specialty coffee and food. However, music has always been present in his life. Ramón studied music in Los Angeles and has written several songs, demonstrating his commitment to the arts from a young age.
Ramón aims to establish himself as an artist in the country pop genre and honor his family's musical tradition while exploring new horizons.
His debut promises to be a significant event in the music world, blending the rich heritage of the Fernández dynasty with a fresh, contemporary sound.
