Earlier this year, the industry had its first opportunity to feast its eyes on Infiniti's new Emerg-E halo vehicle during its unveiling at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show.

Although it was only a rolling prototype at the time, the Japanese automaker spent no time to develop a functioning version for this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed, all but confirming Infiniti's intent to bring the prototype into production.

The design of the Infiniti Emerg-E isn't particularly bold or daring but its fresh, fluent design approach that emphasizes aero efficiency with long, elegant curves hit all the right notes that allowed the Emerg-E to win the Concepts category of the prestigious 2012 Automotive Brand Contest. This achievement, awarded by the German Design Council, will be officially presented to Infiniti during the Paris Motor Show of September 28th to recognize, "excellence and innovation in product design."

An exciting and important project for Infiniti, the make has openly voiced its intentions to expand in the European market in the past and the Emerg-E marks the very first Infiniti that is developed in Europe under the partnership of UK's Technology Strategy Board initiative.

While the Emerg-E's progression only points to official production in the future, Neither Infiniti or parent company Nissan has confirmed any details. In a previous article, the Emerg-E was regarded only as one of a number of candidates that qualified to become Infiniti's new halo.
