A brutal husband has been accused of heinously chopping off his wife's arms and legs with a sickle while she slept at their home in Andhra Pradesh, India on Wednesday, Sept. 15.
The horrifying incident reportedly happened in Chakrayapeta Mandal of YSR Kadapa district in Andhra Pradesh state, India.
Naganayak, 63, and his wife Islawat Eshwaramma, 48, have reportedly frequently engaged in heated arguments and fights over the past three years due to recurring marital issues.
Their neighbors related that the couple seemingly also had a shouting match on the night of the alleged murder, which coincided with the Vinayaka Chaviti festival that happened on Friday, Sept. 10. The incessant bickering of the two had even previously spurred the couple's children to take Eshwaramma to live with them, according to The Hans India.
A recent intervention, however, saw Eshwaramma convinced to return to her husband. Unfortunately, their arrangement took an unfortunate turn for the worst on Wednesday night, Sept. 15, while Eshwaramma fast asleep. In a fit of rage, Naganayak allegedly took a sickle and proceeded to horrifically lop off his wife's arms and legs before fleeing the spot.
Neighbors quickly rushed to the scene after hearing the victim's screams and took her to a hospital in Kadapa for immediate treatment. The police have started an investigation into the violent incident and are on the lookout for Naganayak.

The husband fled their home immediately after the vicious confrontation.
