In an eccentric tribute to Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez and deceased revolutionary Ernesto "Che" Guevara, Cuba's state-owned Labiofam Business Group will be launching colognes in memory of the two political figures. Labiofam, which creates veterinary and pharmaceutical products, will be introducing the perfumes in Havana, reports EFE.
"Creating a perfume is a work of art and it requires months and years," research and development director Mario Valdes said to EFE, adding that the fragrance will be created based on a survey of 120 consumers. "Participants were asked to associate the scents with names in a list of historical personalities in Latin America."
If you're looking to nab a bottle, know that you will have to wait for a year to purchase the fragrances of Che Guevara and Hugo Chávez. Currently on the market Labiofam laboratories are retailing fragrances in memory of Lina Ruz, Fidel and Raul Castro's mother, and Celia Sanchez, Fidel Castro's companion.
