Hudson Madsen Dead: Reservoir Dogs Star Michael Madsen's Family Brokenhearted Over Son's ‘Suspected Suicide’

Hudson Madsen, Michael Madsen's son, died in Hawaii from "suspected suicide." He was 26 years old at the time.

According to The Sun, the younger Madsen was discovered dead on the island of Oahu on Monday, possibly from a self-inflicted gunshot wound on Jan. 24. He died at an unknown time, according to authorities.

A spokesperson for the Honolulu Department of Medical Examiners confirmed to The Independent that Hudson Lee Madsen was shot in the head and died in a suspected suicide on the Hawaiian island of Oahu.

Meanwhile, in a statement obtained by numerous news sites, a family representative said that the family is heartbroken" and overwhelmed with grief and pain over Hudson's death.

"His memory and light will be remembered by all who knew and loved him," reports added.

During this trying period, the family also requested privacy and respect.

Sources believe Hudson's mother, DeAnna Madsen, 61, was on her way to Hawaii to deal with the tragedy.

Hudson is survived by his wife, Carlie. After serving in the United States Army, he resided in Wahiawa, Hawaii. Madsen was assigned to the 25th Infantry Division's Schofield Barracks in Oahu, promoted in March.

Carlie had surgery last week, on Jan. 15, and thanked her husband for his support. Madsen proposed to Carlie on the summit of Pike's Peak in Colorado in Nov. 2017, getting down on one knee.

According to Carlie's Facebook page, the couple married in 2018. The pair married formally at Cheyenne Mountain State Park in Colorado in Jun. 2019 and relocated to Hawaii in Aug. 2019.

Carlie also in Mar. 2021 that she and her husband were starting fertility therapy and sharing their news to help eradicate the stigma.

Quentin Tarantino, the Oscar-winning director, was Hudson's godfather. Michael Tarantino, 64, and Tarantino, 58, have worked together on several films, including "Reservoir Dogs" and the two-part "Kill Bill."

Michael and his wife, actress DeAnna Madsen of "The Price of Air," have two boys, Calvin, 25, and Luke, 16. With ex-Jeannine Bisignano, he has two kids, Christian, 31, and Max, 27.

Madsen has worked with Tarantino on several occasions, starring in films such as Reservoir Dogs, Kill Bill Vol. 1 and Vol. 2, and The Hateful Eight.
