Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew have a very unique relationship with each other. The couple divorced in 1996, but they are still living together in the Royal Lodge.
Other than their living arrangements, the Duke and Duchess of York still travel together with their daughters on a regular basis. They also attend some royal events together even though Fergie is no longer an official member of the royal family.
And several years ago, the mom of two made her real feelings for Prince Andrew known in her book “Finding Sarah: A Duchess’ Journey To Find Herself.” The memoir was released in 2011, which means that Fergie and Prince Andrew have already been divorced for over a decade at that time.
But even then, she still vowed to never betray her ex-husband. Fergie also said that she will never sell out the father of Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie. “I love Andrew to this day, as I did when I met and married him, and I would never, ever, sell him out or betray him,” she said.
However, it seems that the former royal wasn’t telling the complete truth in her book. After Fergie and Prince Andrew separated in 1992, photos of the Duchess of York with business tycoon John Bryan made headlines.
In the snaps, the businessman is seemingly sucking Fergie’s toes. The duo was also photographed kissing and hugging each other while vacationing in St. Tropez.
Even though Fergie and Prince Andrew were no longer together at that time, their divorce still hadn’t been finalized. And as such, Prince Philip saw Fergie as a disgrace not only to her own family but also to the entire British clan.
Since then, Fergie was frozen out of the royal family and all royal events and engagements. Until today, Prince Philip has not spoken to Fergie.
In fact, reports swirled that Fergie was supposed to stay in Balmoral for a few more days to be with Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Andrew and her daughters. However, she suddenly departed Her Majesty’s vacation home after the Duke of Edinburgh arrived much earlier than expected.
