Princess Beatrice just got engaged to her boyfriend and longtime friend, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. But royal fans and royal experts are already speculating on when she will make a pregnancy announcement.
Harry Aitkenhead, the spokesperson for bookmakers Coral, told Express that their punters are convinced that Princess Beatrice’s pregnancy announcement will be made in 2021. And within the year, she and Mozzi will welcome their first child.
If the predictions are correct, this would mean that Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson’s eldest daughter will be following in the footsteps of Kate Middleton and Prince William. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge tied the knot in 2011, and they welcomed their first child in 2013. However, Kate’s first pregnancy announcement was made in 2012.
Meanwhile, it’s also possible that Princess Beatrice could follow in Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s footsteps. The couple announced Meghan’s pregnancy just five months after they tied the knot. Royal experts believe that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex decided to have a baby immediately because of Meghan’s age. She was almost 38 years old when she gave birth to Archie.
Princess Beatrice’s younger sister, Princess Eugenie, who tied the knot with Jack Brooksbank on Oct. 12, 2018, still hasn’t made a pregnancy announcement. By the looks of it, she may also follow in Kate and Prince William’s footsteps.
If this is the case, royal fans can expect Princess Eugenie to make a pregnancy announcement anytime before the year ends or early next year. And she could welcome her first child in 2020 as well.
Months ago, reports swirled that Princess Eugenie could be holding off on making her pregnancy announcement to give way to Princess Beatrice’s engagement. But the latter has already been engaged for weeks, and no announcement has been made.
During a previous interview with People, Fergie said that she’s looking forward to having her first grandchild. She also said that her daughters are excited about their future children to get to know their grandparents.
“They are thrilled because I write children’s books, and I’m a child,” Fergie said. “I haven’t grown up,” she joked.
