Prince William and Kate Middleton are living the kind of lifestyle that the masses just can’t get enough of. They live in extreme luxury, have a palatial residence to call home and have that kind of fame and popularity only a royal can hope to have.
But being popular has its own set of challenges, especially for Kate and Prince William, who opted a more hands-on approach to parenting. For royal family fans who are wondering how the royal couple made it work, here are a few ways to make sure they spend some quality time together.
They Schedule For Family Time
As working royals, Prince William and Kate have a lot of public engagements as representatives of Her Majesty. But that doesn’t mean that they’re too busy that they have to cancel out bonding with their family from their to-do list.
In fact, they make it work by including family time in their schedule. In February, the couple cleared the work-related schedules ahead of the half-term holiday so they can bond as a family and make memories that their children will cherish for the rest of their lives.
Family Bonding Does Not Have To Be Fancy
But when it comes to family time, it does not need to happen in the most exotic location of the world. While Prince William and Kate can certainly afford to splurge on some fancy family vacation, it’s not actually necessary to do so as what’s more important is that everyone enjoys their time spent with their loved ones regardless of location.
For example, their private residence in Anmer Hall in Norfolk is a favorite destination for the royal family of five. Kate, along with kids Prince George and Princess Charlotte, were spotted early this year swimming in the pool, as well as making use of the steam room and sauna in a facility near their estate. Since the duchess loves art, Kate would sometimes just spend time with her children by doing various crafts with them.
Even Royal Children Love The Outdoors
A common problem for city dwellers with kids is that most of their children probably entertain themselves by spending way too much time in front of the TV or playing with their various gadgets. But Kate knows that every child needs to appreciate the outdoors as well.
To escape London’s bustle, the Duchess of Cambridge often goes back to her parents’ home in Bucklebury with her children in tow. It was reported that the duchess would even allow Prince George and Princess Charlotte to get dirt in their hands and mud on their boots — it’s the outdoors after all. Too bad Prince Louis is still too young to join in on the fun.
Couple Time Is Likewise Important
While it’s important to spend time with the kids, it’s equally important to enjoy some evenings as a couple. For instance, during their 2018 holiday on the island of Mustique, William and Kate took a night off parenting duty and went for some cocktails at the Basil's Bar.
