Prince Harry previously beat Prince William and Kate Middleton at the Park Marathon in 2017. But prior to the race, the Duke of Cambridge confidently declared that he could win over the Duke of Sussex.

While speaking with Scott Mills on BBC Radio 1, the interviewer asked the dad of three who he thinks would win if he and Prince Harry get into a fight. Kate’s husband said that the answer is quite obvious.

“Oh, it is clearly obvious,” he said. “Me. Because I am bigger,” Prince William said.

But Prince William also credited his younger brother for beating him at a marathon. He said that he, Kate and Prince Harry agreed to participate in a show run.

“Kind of like make it look good but don’t make it whatever,” he said. “Then I turn around I see the glitz in my brother’s eyes and the grin that my wife’s got and I’m like: ‘It’s on.’ The next thing I know, the gun goes and Harry is already 30 yards down the track.”

Prince William and Prince Harry have always been competitive against each other. In the book “Harry: Conversations With The Prince,” royal author Angela Levin said that between the royal siblings, it is Meghan Markle’s husband who’s the more competitive.

“It is also very difficult if you are second in line to a brother and you are quite competitive,” she said. “Harry is very competitive as a person, but your brother is going to be king, and there is nothing you can do about that, you can’t beat that. He also didn’t have a role to play. Now he is older and more mature he has found roles that satisfy him and give him pleasure and confidence,” she added.

Princess Diana’s former protection officer, Ken Wharfe, previously told Express that Prince Harry used to be jealous of the attention that his older brother received. During one of their fights, the Duke of Sussex declared that he doesn’t care what Prince William does.

“I’m not going to be King so I will be able to do whatever I like,” he said. Princess Diana was in the car with them at that time.
