“How I Met Your Mother” has a wide array of characters that have made an impression on viewers. Back in Season 2, in 2006, Ted Mosby (Josh Radnor) had a rather interesting boss called Hammond Druthers. He was a completely unlikeable schmuck, and threatened to fire three people every hour. He started as Ted’s arrogant employer, but later tables turned and Ted became his boss, finally firing him. Maybe you also remember that Lily (Alyson Hannigan) stole Hammond’s prized baseball, which had been signed three times by Pete Rose.

What many of you might not remember, is that Ted’s obnoxious boss was played by none other than Bryan Cranston pre-Breaking Bad, and CBS just announced that he will be returning for HIMYM’s last season, reprising his role as Druthers. They broke the news on a tweet that read: “CASTING NEWS! @BryanCranston returns to #HIMYM later this fall as Hammond Druthers! #BreakingMOTHER” They later teased: "Is Hammond Druthers back for revenge? Will he meet the Mother? You'll find out later this fall!"

“How I Met Your Mother” began its final season on Monday, and being on this show again will be a real change of pace for Cranston, who plays teacher-turned-meth maker Walter White on AMC’s “Breaking Bad.” The series, which won a best drama Emmy Award last weekend, airs its season finale on Sunday. According to US Weekly, he told Ryan Seacrest on the red carpet at the Emmys that it's "bittersweet" the show is ending. "You know that you're proud that you've come to a close, almost like an athlete that wants to finish on top as opposed to letting it go on for a year or two more," Cranston explained. "Vince Gilligan, our writer, finished at just the right time. The ending is perfect. Unapologetic. It is perfect Breaking Bad."

As for “How I Met Your Mother,” the show returned to the small screen on Monday, with the first real look at Cristin Milioiti as The Mother. The show's entire final season takes place during the weekend leading up to Barney and Robin's wedding, and producers Carter Bays and Craig Thomas have promised the return of lots of familiar faces and payoffs of unanswered questions. The series finale will air in May.
