An avid "The Simpsons" fan was inspired to build "The Homer" car on his own.

Taken from the episode titled "Oh Brother Where Art Thou," of the long running animated series, Porcubimmer Motors, brought the car to life.

In the episode, Homer is reunited with estranged brother, Herbert Powell, who owns "Powell Motors." Homer goes on to visit his relative in Detroit and is offered to design his own car.

Homer get's some crazy ideas like adding large beverage holders, a ball on the aerial, a separate sound-proof dome for the kids and a horn that plays "La Cucaracha." His description of the cars says it will have "power like a gorilla, yet soft and yielding like a Nerf ball."

Unfortunately the car fails to gain traction and causes the Simpson brothers to fall out.

Fortunately though, there are some people with imagination and extra time in their hands. "The Homer" has become a reality and it actually works.

The people behind the car are going to race it, you can check out the dates and the car here.
