Guest Rapes Host's 9-Year-Old Daughter After Having Dinner At Their Residence

An Indian man who was visiting another family has been accused of raping the host’s 9-year-old daughter after having dinner at their residence on Saturday, Sept. 25.

The accused, who reportedly visited the victim's family for dinner with his pregnant wife and son, allegedly sexually assaulted the 9-year-old girl while both their families were present inside the house. The crime was reported from a locality under the limits of the Izzatnagar police station in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, India, India Today reported.

After sexually assaulting the young girl, the accused reportedly threatened her and warned her not to tell anyone about the rape. However, when the victim complained of pain in her private parts, her grandmother questioned her regarding the issue and the girl narrated the horrifying ordeal.

Following this, the victim's parents rushed to the police station to lodge a complaint and file a First Information Report (FIR) against the accused.

A further investigation revealed that the accused was reportedly drunk at the time of the assault. The accused's wife was left horrified after finding out about the heinous crime her husband had committed to the minor girl, Times of India reported.

Meanwhile, the victim's medical examination confirmed the sexual assault. The accused reportedly confessed to the crime and has been sent to jail.

“The minor girl has been given treatment and proper counseling will be provided to her and her parents to overcome the traumatic experience. The accused has been sent to jail after he confessed to having raped the girl under the influence of alcohol," Bareilly Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Rohit Singh Sajwan said.

Police officials have filed an FIR under Sections 376 (rape) 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) along with charges under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POSCO) Act.

In a similar but unrelated incident, a man allegedly attempted to rape his married daughter in her sleep in Lakhimpur Kheri district in Uttar Pradesh, India on Aug. 9.

The victim, who was sleeping at her parent's residence, woke up to her drunk father touching her inappropriately. Even though her father threatened her by telling her not to alert others, she screamed for help and eventually woke her mother who came rushing to her aid, Latin Times reported.

The mother and daughter approached the local police station and gave their statement detailing the incident. The daughter who was just recently married to a distant relative revealed to police that her father had sexually assaulted her several times in the past.

When the police officers confronted him, the father reportedly confessed to committing the crime. He was taken into custody and sent to jail.
