GTA 5 is currently filming a live-action commercial to promote the highly anticipated video game.
Over the weekend, Reddit member marcodj shared pictures of the GTA 5 movie set, which was just in front of marcodj’s building.
GTA 5, the latest iteration in the highly acclaimed Grand Theft Auto series, will be based in the fictional city of Los Santos, a wide open virtual world that is based on Los Angeles. According to Dark Zero, the scene was shot in Mexico.
Delivering the Los Santos theme, the live-action GTA 5 commercial was shot in a nondescript urban industrial setting, featuring well placed palm trees for a beat up Plymouth Acclaim with racing stripes to crash into.
In another shot, a BMW 1 Series coupe was apparently involved in a chase on some gritty streets when the car lost control and slammed into a light post.
GTA 5 Release Date News
GTA 5 is expected to debut on PS3 and the Xbox 360 on September 17. According to the Examiner, an announcement from game developer Rockstar is expected to occur on May 16, revealing the release dates for other consoles as well as for PC.
