The latest "GTA 5" 1.16 Flight School DLC was great and all, but our patience is wearing thin as we've yet to have any definitive confirmation on the Heists DLC release date. According to IB Times UK, "GTA 5" 1.17 Update could arrive as soon as Sept. 16. Unfortunately, it is too soon to determine whether the speculation is substantial. Furthermore, we do not confirm whether the 1.17 Update is the Heists DLC. That said, evidence suggests that Heists will not release in September.
According to video game leaker and YouTuber DomisLive, "GTA 5" risks to lose the interest of its gamers on "GTA 5 Online" if it doesn't release a substantial update very soon. Obviously, it will be difficult to constantly keep "GTA 5" as fresh as when it was first released, but the release of "GTA 5" Heists update is undoubtedly a step in the right direction.
However, consistent reports suggest that the "GTA 5" Heists Update release date will only coincide the arrival of "GTA 5" for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. According to IGN, the next-gen title could arrive in November 18. Multiple retail listings have announced a Nov. 18 release date before the release date was removed. If the release date leak is authentic, then the Heists Update will not arrive for at least another two months. Alternatively, the Sept. 16 DLC Update in question could be the recently leaked Casino DLC package.
As we mentioned in past reports, the "GTA 5" Casino DLC will be a significant update that will completely transform the GTA economy. The Casino DLC will not only open the door to new buildings, but a wide blend of table games are available to play, including poker, old poker, roulette, and blackjack. Horse race betting and even a new lottery ticket system are also available.
Furthermore, additional updates could break apart the monotony of killing, hi-jacking, looting, and other gang related activity. According to DomisLive, "GTA 5" could be extremely popular for years to come if developers could properly deliver the size and scope of activities and gameplay available in Los Santos City. In fact, DomisLive proposed the possibility of implementing sports gameplay like basketball, or tennis to expand the range of activities.
Stay tuned as we find out more about the upcoming "GTA 5" 1.17 Update in the weeks ahead.
