“Good Girls” is returning for Season 3, and it will be more explosive than the previous installment. The crime comedy show is one of the favorites on the NBC TV series lineup, so its renewal for another run is not surprising.
It only earned average reviews when it debuted, but it eventually gained steady followers that its viewership ratings remained stable throughout the second season. Now it will be back to offer more exciting episodes featuring the three mothers from Michigan and their deepening involvement in crimes.
The Storyline
“Good Girls” is about three women who go about their lives as a mom in the morning and do criminal activities at night, which they consider a business. In the past, they robbed a grocery store because they thought it will be an easy way to get the money they needed for their families, but they got involved in deeper crimes as it turned out that the cash they stole is counterfeit and part of a major money-laundering syndicate operation.
What Will Happen In Season 3?
The trio — Ruby, Annie and Beth — will fall deeper into their highly illegal money-making schemes, and Annie will be overwhelmed that she will want to quit. Her desire to stop engaging in criminal activities will intensify after discovering that Noah (Sam Huntington), her new love interest, is an FBI agent.
Ruby also appears to be not happy with their shady business anymore as it’s also negatively affecting her relationships. Like Annie, she also wants out of the gang, but Beth will try to convince them to stick around because they might get their big break soon.
Who Will Be In Season 3?
The main cast of “Good Girls” is expected to be back for the third season. They are Christina Hendricks (Beth Boland), Retta (Ruby Hill) and Mae Whitman (Annie Marks). They will be supported by Matthew Lillard (Dean Boland), Reno Wilson (Stan Hill) and Manny Montana (Rio), who play their husbands.
New Cast Addition
There will be a new face in the series, so the gang will expand to four members now. The three moms will realize that they need a graphic designer, so they will hire someone who can help them with money laundering. However, they will regret this decision later because the new character will only bring more trouble to the group.
“Annie, Beth and Ruby will definitely need and seek out the expertise of a graphic designer,” Jenna Bans, the series creator told TV Line. “This particular someone might also be a suburban mom with a questionable background and has no interest in being a ‘good’ girl.”
“Good Girls” Season 3 is expected to arrive in the spring of 2020, as per Marie Claire. Fans can watch the show on Netflix and NBC.
