America Ferrera, Angela Bassett, Chloë Grace Moretz, Dennis Quaid, Miss Golden Globe Corinne Fox, HFPA president Lorenzo Soria, and Dick Clark Productions EVP Barry Adelman announced this year’s Golden Globes nominees. The awards celebrate the best of this year in TV and film, and along with the SAG awards (which are decided amongst actors) they’re said to be the strongest indicators for Oscar contenders.
Almost mimicking his success from last year, González Iñárritu’s film “The Revenant” scored four nominations including Best Picture in the Drama category and Best Actor for Leonardo DiCaprio, following Todd Haynes’ “Carol” which earned five nods. Gael García Bernal is in the running for Best Actor in a TV Series, Musical, or Comedy and we're excited for Chilean director Pablo Larraín's “The Club” which is nominated for Best Foreign Language Film . The ceremony will air live on January 10 on NBC hosted by funnyman Ricky Gervais. Here’s the full list:
