The daughter of singer Gloria Estefan and producer Emilio Estefan shared her love on social networks by publishing a photo with her girlfriend. To celebrate her first year of courtship, Emily Estefan demonstrated the love she has for her girlfriend Gemeny Hernández by reposting a photograph of both in a black and white filter.
Hernández replied to Emily how much she loves her. "You see, you swept me. You took me from my standing place and catapulted me to a new world. A brand new place, a most beautiful universe unlike anything I had every seen," she wrote.
Emely replied her back writing: "What does it feel like to have words like THIS written about you? I’ll let you know when I have an answer.. for now.. I’m just a glowing puddle. I love you. Each and every word you write elevates me. (about me or not) I can’t wait for the world (and you) to see what you’re capable of."
Many people have congratulated the couple like Cuban-American blogger Perez Hilton who wrote: "Congratulations to Gloria Estefan’s daughter, Emily Estefan, on finding love and going public with her girlfriend!"
Although many other people have left messages of hatred in the publication alleging that Emilio and Gloria are two correct figures of the entertainment business, according to statements neither of them has any problem with the LGBTQ community. Emilio Estefan's best friend is gay director Kenny Ortega (Hocus Pocus, High School Musical) and during the first months of 2017 the Estefan family teamed up to produce comedy with drag performances.
In an interview for Advocate Gloria affirmed that she is happy that gay marriage is possible. "I’m glad that the Supreme Court finally admitted that everyone has the right to love and marry who they want to marry," she said.
The 23-year-old Emily Estefan is a drummer, guitarist, singer and songwriter, and has produced and directed her own debut album Take Whatever You Want. Estefan performed her first major concert on February 2, 2017 at Gusman Concert Hall during the University of Miami Frost School of Music’s Festival Miami.
