The day is here. Tonight is the night when Gleeks around the world will gather to pay their respects to Cory Monteith, the beloved Finn Hudson from Fox's hit series "Glee." Monteith died back in July after an accidental drug overdose and his passing made quite a stir in TV industry. He was only 31, the main character of one of the most popular shows of these past few years, and no one knew about his struggles with illegal substances. What will happen in the episode has been the best kept secret, but in a technological day and age is hard to keep things mum for a while. The synopsis of "The Quarterback" has leaked online and we can find out how McKinley High School and New Directions will deal with the death of Finn Hudson.
Although the cause of Finn's death was nowhere to be seen on the description on Spoiler TV, some familiar faces return as former members of New Directions go back to their old high school to remember Finn. Everyone will be grieving in their own way, but per "Glee" tradition, Mr. Schue will encourage the group to "memorialize him in the way we do everything - by singing about it." Kurt, who is Finn's half brother, and Burt and Carole, will sort through Finn's belongings and bond as a family. Puck turns to coach Beiste to help him grieve and following a heart-to-heart, he decides to honor Finn's memory by making a life changing decision.
Santana will have issues hiding her emotions, and maintaining her strong and sometimes b*tchy attitude, and even has a confrontation with Bree, who is McKinley's "New Santana." And Emma's afraid that Will is too busy making sure the others are okay to make time for himself to grieve. As for Rachel, she's noticeably absent from the episode description and some earlier reports state that she will only appear at the end of the episode when she performs her incredibly heartbreaking rendition of "Make You Feel My Love." However, don't think that we'll be seeing less of Rachel Berry this season. Au contraire, Rachel will struggle with the loss of Finn all season, show creator Ryan Murphy told Australian magazine TV Week. "It's not just done, buried and goodbye," he says.
He finished by saying, "Lea is very heavy in this season. She was big last season, but she's really big - and back. Make no mistake, Lea's the female star this season. And, I think that's really good."
