The day is getting closer. Tissues are at hand. “The Quarterback” will be the end of an era, the day we’ll finally put a closure to the tragic death of Cory Monteith, off and on screen. It was impossible not to cry watching the 30-second teaser, and add to that the heartbreaking playlist to be included in the episode. A lot of the former stars will be returning to our screens to say goodbye to Finn Hudson, the relatable jock turned singer, and one of the characters of the main storyline of "Glee." But one particular character, who was a major part of Finn’s life, will not be saying goodbye to him, his ex-girlfriend Quinn Fabray.

According to RadarOnline, former "Glee" cast member Dianna Agron, who played cheerleader Quinn, was not invited to appear on the show’s tribute episode for Cory, because co-stars and even the co-creator of the show just don’t like her. “It’s shocking, because even though she’s not contracted for this season, many other actors returned to pay tribute to Cory … even ones with less of a story connection to Finn than Diana had!” a source told Radar. “Remember, she played his girlfriend on the series, and was a major part of his storyline.”

The insider, who according to the media outlet is a “high level source” at Fox, revealed that Monteith’s real-life and on screen girlfriend Lea Michele and series co-creator Ryan Murphyintensely dislike Dianna and have both worked to marginalize her as much as possible.” The source went on to explain that Lea and Murphy “never saw her [Agron] as a team player” and that they “simply did not want her sharing the glory for this very special episode.”

Nevertheless, Dianna was seen attending Cory Monteith’s funeral, after the actor, who was a part of the hit show since it started in 2009, died in July of a combined heroin and alcohol overdose. The singer and actor had battled substance abuse problems before and had gone to rehab to address his addiction. Show creator Murphy recently opened up about shooting the memorial episode and said that performances were raw and heartfelt. "Almost everything in that episode is from the first take of every performance. The actors and crew had a really hard time shooting it. I've never seen a crew where you can't continue shooting it because they left the room sobbing. It was very hard. I struggled working on it because what you're seeing is not just what people felt about Finn but Cory.”
