Gina Rodriguez made a pitstop at the "Conan" show earlier this week, where she fessed up a lot of interesting things to host Conan O'Brien.
The comedian mentioned how "Jane the Virgin" is popular worldwide and Gina instantly talked about that one time she was recognized in China. "The show was only six weeks in, but China and the Philippines had already bought it," she said of the time she visited the country to watch her father referee his last championship fight. "We were walking to the venue and this older gentleman was like 'You're Jane the Virgin,'" she added, recalling how shocked she was with the incident.
Speaking of her father, big time boxing referee Genaro Rodriguez, the Puerto Rican actress also talked about how Mr. Rodriguez taught her and her sisters to defend themselves. "I'm O.K.... I wouldn't fight me," she said to O'Brien. "I definitely walk around pretty confidently," she added.
However, her biggest confession was when the 31-year-old star revealed that she was able to get out of many traffic citations because of her silly license photo. "They only let you have the one (picture), so when I turned 16 and I got my license I figured it would be really funny...," she said on the show, reenacting the face by sticking out her tongue and rolling her eyes. "It got me out of every ticket... I know that there are cops (watching this)... that literally pulled me over and they'd be like, 'Oh my God, do the face! Is this you?,'" she said.
