Geraldine Bazán and Gabriel Soto announced their plans for divorce a couple weeks ago after many months of speculation. Although Bazán didn't respond right after news broke, she is now opening up about her hardest struggle about the separation and it all has to do with her daughters. "It's only a day, but it's hard and difficult because I would love to be with them," she told TVyNovelas magazine about when her girls leave to spend time with their father.
"When I have to seperate myself from them because that's how it has to be, I miss them, it's still complicated," she added. "We need to talk to them as a eight year old girl and a three year old girl. What's most important is the emotional responsibility, my daughthers have love from all sides and in the end that's what I need to take care of."
Geraldine Bazán recently shared in an emotional YouTube video her feelings going through the difficult process of divorce. "I want to share with all of you this complicated situation in my life," she said. "I simply want to thank everyone who has been concerned, all the kindness, thank my mother, my brother, my whole family, all those friends that have been close, all my followers, and all the press that have asked how I've been. Really grateful for your concern and your well wishes.
In relation to her split from the telenovela heartthrob she said: "How do I feel? Well I think as anyone person, man or woman, that is going through a process like this, a divorce process is difficult in many aspects. Of course it's complicated, it's hard, it's sad, especially when you bet everything for a family, for a relationship and you do everything for love and in the end, things don't work out. I am not the only woman that has gone or will go through this in the world or in Mexico."
Geraldine Bazán started tearing up and said: "These tears are of happiness but they are also tears of strength. I want to share that it's a difficult time, but I am strong, I am brave and I know I will get through, that it will be a difficult process and I will come out with victory and more strength than before because that's how I am. Many women have lived through this situation and life goes on, life continues and more experiences will come."
Gabriel Soto was the one that broke the news that the couple had been split for months in a statement posted on Twitter. "Four months ago I started the separation process of the relationship I held for many years with my wife and the mother of my daughters, Geraldine Bazán," the presser read. "Even though we tried, a while ago, our relationship started fracturing."
"This decision has nothing to do with a third party, but it is precise to clear up that the consequences that were caused after I was involved in a story that I have rectified on all the occasions that I had the opportunity and I repeat again: I HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH IT," he continued. "This process has been hard and difficult on both sides, I expect to go through it with respect, discretion, care and love to preserve the well-being and the harmony of our daughters that are our priority. All the situations in the life of a couple are absolutely between two people. This is why I ask and I thank all the press and people in advance, your profound comprehension and RESPECT for this situation."
