Day 12 of testimony in the George Zimmerman murder case continues today. Zimmerman is on trial for second-degree murder. In February 2012 he shot and killed 17-year-old Trayvon Martin. The prosecution claims Martin's killing was premeditated while Zimmerman's lawyers say it was self-defense on the part of George Zimmerman.

On Tuesday night around 10pm the Zimmerman trial was still in full swing. Defense attorney Don West was speaking when suddenly the judge, Debra Nelson got up and walked out. The act left West and the rest of the court stunned.

West was trying to make the case that the judge should allow photos from Trayvon Martin's Facebook page as well as texts he sent into evidence.

Judge Nelson ruled that the photos and texts could not be used during the Defense's opening statements but she left the door open for their possible entry later on in the case. Attorney Don West was in the middle of arguing his case when the Judge announced she would rule on Wednesday.

As West continued to speak the Judge got up from her chair and exited the courtroom.
