Hollywood heartthrob George Clooney and his human rights lawyer wife Amal are reportedly expecting Baby No. 3.
Rumors are doing the rounds that the 60-year-old actor and his 43-year-old wife have shared the happy news with their close friends. The couple reportedly hosted an intimate dinner party near their Lake Como villa in Italy to tell friends about their happiness. They made the big announcement at the star’s favorite restaurant Il Gatto Nero on July 4.
A source who spoke with Ok! US said, “The buzz is they’re having twins again. Amal’s said to be past her first trimester, and she’s already starting to show, so soon enough, everyone will know.”
The couple were blessed with twins Ella and Alexander in 2017.
The source added that George was excited to share the news with everyone who wished them well. The actor was reported to be “so proud”, while Amal was “glowing”. George looked dapper in a gray suit paired with a white shirt, while Amal looked beautiful in a form-fitting dress.
“This is something both George and Amal really wanted, but at her age, there was no guarantee. It’s so exciting. George has been open about wanting more kids, so getting two at once would be ideal!” the insider added.
Speculations suggest that George and Amal told their twins on their birthday (June 6) about the new addition to their family. It is also believed that Ella has been pleading for a baby sister for some time now. The twins are very excited and can’t wait to become big siblings.
George and Amal representatives have been contacted for comment, reported Mirror.
The couple tied the knot at a lavish ceremony attended by stars in Venice in 2014, just five months after their engagement.
Last year, there were reports that George and Amal spent a whopping 90,000 pounds ($125,000) on a playhouse for their twins. The lavish, two-storey house is a mini version of the power couple’s main home. The playhouse comes furnished with zip wire and life-sized toy giraffe and a kitchen with running water.
The couple are currently trapped in their Lake Como mansion after flash floods. The three-day heavy rain caused floods, leaving mud and debris piled up to the first floor balcony of the 18th century villa. George is also lending a helping hand with the clean-up efforts in the area and was seen with Roberto Pozzi, the mayor of Laglio.
