The stars of HBO's hit show "Game of Thrones" attended the Season 3 premiere at the TCL Chinese Theater in Hollywood. While some stars looked glamorous and polished, others missed the mark.
Michelle Fairley, 48, who plays Catelyn Stark, looked fresh and modern. It was a refreshing change from her heavy velvet gowns to see the star glow in a lovely white shapeless shift dress with orange origami fold detailing and gold sandals.
Sophie Turner, who portrays Sansa Stark, made a great choice, as well. The young star, 17, looked feminine in a little black dress embroidered with rosettes. By paring the knee length dress with black suede T-strap heels, Turner kept her outfit youthful.
Another success was Turner's on-screen sister, Maisie Williams. Williams, who portrays Arya Stark, looked appropriately her age in a sweet floral knee-length dress. At 15, the actress looked sweet and fresh with pops of red accents in her belt and heels. Compared to her on-screen character's normal tomboy appearance, the star looked feminine and girly.
Unlike her properly polished on-screen character Cersei Lannister, Lena Headey shrouded herself in a long sleeve white romper with tie detailing at the waist. The sheet-like outfit swallowed Headey's small frame and completely washed out her fair complexion.
My favorite look of the night belonged to 25-year-old Emilia Clarke, who stunned in a beautiful blue strapless dress with black trim. Her smoky eye makeup and simple pushed-back hairstyle, created a simple sultry look for the actress.
As for the male stars of "Game of Thrones," most of the hunky stars looked prim and proper in polished suits. Kit Harrington, and on-screen brother Richard Madden looked handsome in modern suits. It was nice to see the stars without pelts and armor.
Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who portrays Jamie Lannister, looked debonair in a very on-trend gray suit.
Although it seems his on-screen brother missed the mark in regards to shoes, while Peter Dinklage looked dapper alongside his wife in a black suit, his scuffed and worn boots did little to enhance the outfit.
