Few names resonate as strongly in Mexican music in 2025 as Gabito Ballesteros. The Mexican singer-songwriter has not only conquered stages with his unique take on corridos tumbados, but he has also crossed borders by being selected—alongside Puerto Rican reggaeton star Anuel AA—to headline the opening video for the Spanish-language broadcast of Super Bowl LIX on FOX Deportes.

Ballesteros, originally from Cumpas, Sonora, expressed his excitement for this unique opportunity:

"When they announce the Super Bowl, everyone gets excited, everyone gets hyped, and I've seen the games too. The production, everything that happens during the game, is really beautiful. It's a great experience, honestly. And today, being part of this fills us with pride and excitement. Bringing music, sports, and Latin culture together and being present in this event is truly special."

But the Super Bowl isn't the only milestone in Gabito's career this year. He recently released '7 Días' a collaboration with Tito Doble P that has captured the attention of fans and is quickly climbing the charts.

Additionally, his collaboration with Prince Royce on "Cosas de la Peda" has been nominated at the 2025 Premios Lo Nuestro, further solidifying his position in today's music scene.

Beyond music

Ballesteros has also proven to be a natural entrepreneur. Since a young age, he has been involved in the transportation business and currently owns a fleet of trucks. He spoke about this side of his life:

"Honestly, I've always loved it. Since I was a kid, I've been an entrepreneur. I've always had my own business, and my family has been in the transportation business for years. I always dreamed of owning my own trucks, so I built my team, and now I have my own fleet. I like investing in things that generate income and that I'm truly passionate about. I'm not really into spending money on cars or luxuries; I prefer smart investments."

With a schedule packed with projects and collaborations, Gabito Ballesteros continues to expand his influence in regional Mexican music and beyond. His New Orleans' Super Bowl LIX appearance and recent musical releases are a testament to his dedication and passion for his craft, cementing his place as a key figure in today's music industry.
