The fast food wars are gearing up and the top companies are changing up their menus to earn that precious cash crop. McDonald's is at the front line promising bone-in wings, seasoned with cayenne and chili powder and accompanied by an assortment of "sauce-y" groupies, all for the amazing price of $2.99. But not to be outdone by their main competitor, Burger King has come full force with their new "French fry burger." And not only that the new "French fry burger" will only be $1.
This is a big deal for fast food junkies. In its attempt to compete with McDonald's "Dollar Menu" campaign, Burger King's new "French fry burger" will cost only $1.Burger fans imagining beef patties piled high with French fries will be disappointed, each serving comes with only four fries. The new burger, which contains 360 calories and 19 grams of fat, will hit franchises September 1. McDonald's will also be adding their bone-in wings this September as well.
It will be interesting to see what comes next from these fast food giants. We've already got a "waffle taco" and "Doritos Locos Taco" from Taco Bell and now the "French fry burger." The possibilities seem endless.
