Francisca Lachapel Sick? 'NBL' Queen Faints During Live 'Despierta América' Show, Explains Why

Francisca Lachapel worried her co-workers and fans after fainting on live television earlier this week.

The incident happened during a live transmission of "Despierta America" -- the morning show she co-hosts on Univision -- taking place in front of an active crowd in New York City. On the scene were her co-workers William Valdes, Alan Tacher and Johnny Lozada, when the reigning "Nuestra Belleza Latina" queen fainted in front of everyone.

The show quickly cued commercials, as cameramen and crew members stopped what they were doing to also help Lachapel. The Dominican beauty queen and TV presenter was then rushed to the emergency room for further diagnosis. Following the mishap, "El Gordo y La Flaca" reporter Gelena Solano talked to Lachapel outside of the hospital, where she explained what might have caused her collapse.

"It was a scare, not than anything," Lachapel explained. "A combination of stress and not eating breakfast," she added, clarifying that eating less is a personal decision. She continued to explain the incident: "Less breakfast, not sleeping well, and I think that my body is asking me to rest."

Lachapel, who is also social media reporter on "Nuestra Belleza Latina's" season 10 VIP edition, clarified all rumors that she is pregnant. "I'm not pregnant, not at all," she said. "I hope that when I am pregnant, this isn't the way I will announce it," she added. "For the moment, everything is good," she stated, feeling grateful for everyone who worried.

Lachapel has yet to make a statement regarding the situation.

Meanwhile, concerned fans are showering her social media pages with love and support. "How scary, but thank God that you are home and recovering. I will continue playing for you," said one follower on Instagram from Long Island, New York.

"We are worried because you fainted. God will protect you in these tough times of your health. Please, eat breakfast in the morning, you shouldn't go to work on an empty stomach. Take care, we need to see you like always, very active but without any danger," expressed another fan on Facebook. Watch the video below.
