The clock is ticking for what is going to be the most nerve-wracking and exciting Sunday night at the Univision Network studios in Miami, Flordia. The grand finale of "Nuestra Belleza Latina" VIP Edition is just around the corner and we are curious to know who the new beauty queen will be.
For those who were not aware, NBL kicked off 2016 with "Nuestra Belleza Latina VIP," where 12 former finalists returned to the show for a second shot at the coveted title. During the semi-finals, where the girls were joined by J Balvin, Gente De Zona and Calibre 50, the judges and audience said goodbye to fifth finalist Ligia Uriarte (Mexico). Remaining in the final four are Barbara Turbay (Colombia/Miami), Clarissa Molina (Dominican Republic/New York), Catherine Castro (Puerto Rico) and Setareh Khatibi (Mexico/Los Angeles).
The special edition, which is in celebration of the show's 10th season, included new challenges and concept. The new season was also charged with more excitement, as it was the first time that participants will have access to their social media platforms and stay in touch with fans throughout the competition.
As if this is not exciting enough, here are seven reasons you can't miss the grand finale of NBL VIP airing at 8 p.m. EST on Sunday, May 22, via Univision.
1) Regional Mexican music star Julión SAlvarez will open a show full of surprises and big special guests.
2) Spanish crooner Pablo Alborán will serenade contestants during their strut down the catwalk in evening gowns.
3) Puerto Rican reggaetón sensation Wisin will perform during the swimsuit round.
4) Reigning “Nuestra Belleza Latina” queen Francisca Lachapel will bring her beloved character Mela to the show.
5) Each one of the finalists will showcase their best talent for the last time on stage.
6) We will discover who will be crowned queen, selected by the fan's votes.
7) The NBL VIP queen will walk away with $200,000 worth of prizes, including a 2016 Kia Optima and a one-year contract with the Univision Network.
