Fonseca's accomplishments in the music biz will be honored at the 2015 SESAC Latina Music Awards in Los Angeles. The Colombian singer-songwrtier will receive the first-ever Contemporary Icon Award, reports Billboard.
The "Te Mando Flores" singer has toured the world, garnered over 100 million views on YouTube and is a three-time Latin GRAMMY winner. It's a no brainer why he'll be receiving an icon award.
He will also croon the audience with his signature tropical Latin pop sound at the annual gala. The celebration will be on June 17th at the Beverly Hills Hotel and according to Billboard, Fonseca will also celebrate "the performance rights organization’s many songwriters, publishers and affiliates with chart-topping hits."
Fonseca will join Puerto Rican urban artist Nicky Jam and regional Mexican artist Noel Torres, who are also expected to perform at this year's SESAC Latina Music Awards.
In addition to his well-deserved merit, Fonseca is hyped with the upcoming release of his new single "Entre Mi Vida y La Tuya" out June 2nd.
