Florida Couple Arrested For Having Sex In An Open Area

A Florida couple was busted on Saturday after engaging in a series of sex acts on the side of a road in Largo. Cops said motorists spotted Amber Gormley, 39, and Shawn McClelland, 30, having intercourse around 2:45 p.m. in the area of Whitney Road and U.S. Highway 19 North, an open area in Tampa Bay.

Drivers claimed in a felony criminal complaint against the couple that Gormley and McClelland trysted in a busy area where all drivers could see them. One motorist said McClelland even performed oral sex and other penetrative acts on Gormley on the roadside.

Multiple reports of motorists who drove past the couple on Saturday afternoon led to the arrest of Gormley and McClelland, who both admitted having sex by the side of the road in broad daylight. McClelland confirmed with the police that he had oral sex and other digital pursuits with Gormley.

The arrested couple also assured deputies that all their sexual acts were consensual. “According to both parties, the sexual activity was all consensual,” said the police.

Both Gormley and McClelland were charged with lewd and lascivious exhibition and a felony. They were booked into the county jail on $10,000 bond. McClelland was also charged with possession of synthetic marijuana.

Listed as a transient, Gormley has a vast criminal record that stretches back to 1999, including charges of aggravated battery, multiple counts of shoplifting and grand theft, possession of methamphetamine and resisting arrest.

McClelland, on the other hand, has a more modest criminal record, which includes a traffic infraction in 2014. He was also convicted in 2018 on a misdemeanor theft charge for stealing car litter and peppermint tea from Walmart.
