You're killing me, Smalls.
Tom Guiry, better known as Scotty Smalls in "The Sandlot" in his child-star days, was arrested Wednesday morning for headbutting a police officer. He was charged with felony assault on an officer. The officer suffered minor injuries in the incident that occurred at the Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston, Yahoo News reported. The assault actually took place Saturday evening when United Airlines attendants called the police when the 31-year-old became agitated after being refused to be let onboard, CNN reported.
Employees with United said Guiry was too inxociated to be let on the flight. Police were called to the scene to determine whether he could be placed in a sobering center instead of being charged with public inxotication. When police arrived, however, Guiry alleged began repeatedly threatening officers when they suggested he go to the sobering center. Guiry allegedly tried to kick an officer in the face while being placed under arrest. He headbutted an officer when he tried to restrain him after the attempted kicking.
Guiry starred in a handful of movies as a child in the 1990s. He was the lead role in the 1994 remake of "Lassie" and "The Last Home Run" in 1996. He most recently played a role in the TV series "Elementary" Guiry did not comment on the charges after he was released.
