Mexico's Under 17 team has claimed victory over Argentina in the Semi-Final match held in Abu Dhabi. The 'Mini Tri' beat the Argentine's 3-0, ensuring the Mexican team a place in the U-17 World Cup Final. This gives the Mexicans the chance to win back to back U-17 world championships. Mexico's first half play was impressive to say the least: following an extraordinary save by goalkeeper Gudiño, Ochoa scored a goal in the 5th minute off a corner kick.Ochoa scored fifteen minutes later after a free kick to make it 2-0. Argentina's lead goal scorer Ibañez, was given sent off with a red card.

The second half proved to be somewhat more balanced with Argentina being able to improve its offensive line considerably. Argentina came close to scoring on several occasions, however Gudiño proved too strong. Granados scored the third goal for Mexico in the 86th minute. The goal truly sealed the victory for the Mini Tri. Meanwhile, Argentinian goalkeeper Batalla was sent off after stopping a clear goal scoring opportunity. Mexico now moves on to the U-17 World Cup final, which will be held on Friday, November 8, 2013, where they will face the winner of the Sweden vs Nigeria match.

Meanwhile pressure is mounting on Mexico's national team to defeat New Zealand and advance to the World Cup. El Tri has had a disasterous season with numerous coaching changes and significant losses. Reuters is reporting that Mexican business could lose up to $650 Million in revenue if the team fails to qualify.
