Morning commutes are always better with a little java and that's exactly what the new Fiat 500L will offer. From the home of the cappuccino, Fiat offers an industry-first incorporated espresso maker for the Italian brand's quirky mini people-carrier.
In collaboration with coffee company Lavazza, the espresso machine is designed specifically to fit right into one of the Fiat 500L's cup holders. It also features its own power source and a small timer to let you know when the espresso is ready. You may also share your morning brew too, since the option also comes with two travel mugs.
Although a custom-fit espresso maker inside a car is a novel and considerate creature comfort, it is unlikely for the option to ever cross over to the North American market. Remember the famous McDonald's hot coffee lawsuit? It's safe to say that Fiat can't be bothered with any of that.
Historically, Italian cars are distinguished by its passion and are celebrated for its gorgeous designs. In the case of the Fiat 500L and its built-in espresso machine, the car isn't much of a looker but it sure knows how to live the good life!
