Ferrari will officially unveil the long-awaited successor to the Enzo supercar, internally codenamed F150, at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show. Preparing the media for the launch event, the Italian automaker released a teaser image to whet our appetite of its ultimate supercar.

Just as the term "teaser image" suggests, Ferrari isn't ready to unveil the F150 yet. Instead, the latest image is a macro-shot of the prancing horse emblem on the new car's rear end.

Keeping its information close to the chest for now, here's what we know about Ferrari's "special series car."

The upcoming Ferrari supercar will be the very first model in the automaker's 66 year history to feature a hybrid system drivetrain. A mighty mid-mounted V12 engine will be mated to a trick HY-KERS hybrid system inspired by the brand's F1 technology.

Combined, the F150 powerplant will send at least 900 hp to the rear wheels via an in-house developed twin-clutch gearbox. The Ferrari will be capable of accelerating from 0-to-60 mph in 2.5 seconds, 0-to-124 mph in just 8.5 seconds, and blitz all the way up to a top speed of 229 mph.

A car packaged to the very extremes of physical limits, the 330 lb. KERS system will be designed around the car's full carbon-fiber monocoque. Four different types of carbon fiber was utilized in the monocoque's construction, making the new Ferrari supercar 27 percent more rigid than the previous Enzo. In total, the F150 will weight approximately 2,820 lbs.

Beyond its engine and chassis, the upcoming F150 boasts a driver-centric cabin featuring a fixed driver's seat that will be tailored for each buyer. The seat will be fixed at the center of the car for optimized weight distribution. Instead, the steering wheel and pedal box can be adjusted to extend towards the driver.

The exterior design of the Ferrari remains unknown but we imagine proportions reminiscent of the Enzo mixed with modern styling cues found in the F12 Berlinetta.

Only 499 examples of the new Ferrari supercar will be produced. A source claims the Ferrari supercar will start at €1.2 million, or $1.6 million.

Stay tuned as we learn more about the latest Ferrari at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show.
