Just as images of the new McLaren MP4-12C Project Alpha leaked across the internet yesterday, we learn the first details of a track-focused 458 Italia this morning.
Following the Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale and the Ferrari 430 Scuderia, the new Ferrari 458 Monte Carlo promises to sharpen every aspect of the standard 458 Italia to provide an even more visceral driving experience. First, the Ferrari 458 Monte Carlo will undergo a dramatic weight loss regime that involves stripping out the interior and the more extensive use of carbon fiber. Next, reports suggest that the Monte Carlo will feature a revised chassis as well as a bump in power to no less than 620-hp. Exterior wise, expect bespoke racing graphics as well as a new set of lightweight competition wheels.
Expect the production Ferrari 458 Monte Carlo to enter the market next year. In the meantime, stay tuned for more information as we draw closer to its unveiling.
