It's almost here!
The movie of the summer. The one everyone has been waiting for. The amazing cars we all want but know that we'll never be able to buy them, unless we win the Powerball. Feeling the adrenaline rushing through our veins even though we're not the ones driving. And the men, can we please talk about the men?
I'm sorry for the dudes reading this, but sometimes all it takes to get your girlfriends to go with you to watch this movie is to remind them that they'll see the best of Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson, Tyrese, Ludacris, Sung Kang, Luke Evans and John Ortiz.
But don't be sad, because not only you get the cars, but Jordana Brewster, Michelle Ortiz and Gina Carano will make special appearances (hopefully showing a little somethin' somethin' of their fantastic bodies) to make you like this film even more.
Having said that, we bring you six other facts you need to know before the movie premieres May 24.
1.) Furious 6 is the first film of the franchise to move away from the underground car-racing theme of the series' previous films.
2.) It was filmed in London, Glasgow, Canary Islands and Los Angeles.
3.) The cars seen in the movie will blow your mind. A 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona, the Gurkha, a 2010 BMW M5, a Jensen Interceptor, a 1969 Mustang, a 1970 Ford Escort RS2000, a Camaro SS, an Eagle Speedster, a Ferrari SP1, a Ginetta G60 sports car, powered by a Ford Cyclone V6 engine, a Pagani Zonda, a Nissan GT-R, a Dodge Challenger, a classic Jaguar, a red Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG and, wait for it ... a tank!
4.) The tank will run over 250 cars during the movie.
5.) Michelle Rodriguez is back from the dead! Her character Letty Ortiz is the second in command of a skilled mercenary organization led by Owen Shaw (Luke Evans). When she first faces Dominic (Vin Diesel) she shoots at him, but we don't know if that specific story will have a happy ending.
6.) Director Justin Lin had been working on a plane sequence since 2009, but it never seemed to fit organically into the story, until now. The scene features Diesel smashing his car through the nose of a Soviet-era cargo aircraft during takeoff and it will sure blow your mind!
Yes, we know. Sounds beyond amazing! Although the movie already came out in the UK, we still don't get it for a few days, but in the meantime, you can start prepping by watching the trailer here!
