In last week's episode of 'Family Guy' -- the first episode of the 12th season -- Peter Griffin and his quirky family decided to follow through with a treasure map found on the back of a restaurant menu. Looking to outwork and outwit their closest friends and community in order to be the first to find the coveted treasure, the Griffins pulled out all the stops so they'd be the ones holding the prize at the end. The reason the family wound up on a treasure hunt was comical in itself as well.
After the Griffins complained that Peter had terrible bad breath, the father of three paid a visit to the local dentist. Discovering a piece of shrimp had been lodged in his mouth for the last week, Peter and his family decided to celebrate the removal of the fish with a dinner visit to The Founding Father restaurant. Learning of the seemingly fake map on the back of the menu, Griffin begins following through with the hunt even though his wife Lois doesn't believe there are any actual clues. Finally jumping to her husband's side, the Griffins embark on a long journey to find the final clue on the map. With the last stop leading them to The Drunken Clam -- a popular hangout bar -- Peter finds an old painting and rips it off the wall. Seeing an old treasure chest in a hole behind the painting, Griffin realizes he's found the top prize, which only turns out to be an expired Founding Fathers coupon.
Seth MacFarlane and his creative team certainly did a great job of entertaining "Family Guy" viewers everywhere with the first episode of Season 12 and now that viewers are once again intrigued by the constant shenanigans of the Griffin family, Episode 2 of Season 12 is expected to be great as well. With Peter learning he has a vestigial twin attached to him, this episode should not struggle at all to entertain.
